This weeks best sellers

This week has seen an mixed bag of ales sold, but the weeks best sellers todate are.
Flipside Brewery Franc “in” Stein and Wincle Brewery Wincle Waller

Both are amazing 🙂 not many left either !!!

Today, we’ve mainly been restocking

A mini roadtrip across the moors to Thornbridge Brewery in Bakewell seemed apt this morning, decent weather too, even on the tops near the Cat.

Jaipur, Chiron, Colorado Red, Sequoia, Tzara and Kipling restocked, along with the welcome return of Wild Raven and Wild Swan.

Our friends from Flipside Brewery in Colwick, Notts dropped by also, Random Toss and Copper Penny are debutantes for us plus a partial restock.

Others on the horizon…… this space……..oh and a couple new breweries to be road tested shortly, from a little further a field but still British and top quality 🙂

Today’s Brewery is… Flipside

Flipside Brewery are based in Colwick, Nottingham and started brewing in May 2010, they have since then gone from strength to strength.  Dave, Maggie & son Luke have already many SIba awards under their belt.
Below is a listing of the ales that we currently have bottled (all bottled conditioned) but we are expecting more next week, we’ll keep these new ones a surprise for now.
■ Clippings IPA – 6.5% Traditional IPA with crushed gooseberry and bitter white wine hop.
■ Russian Rouble – 7.3% – Dark Stout with rich chocolate and malt. Very popular with Barleyhops customers, do you dare ?
■ Flipping Best – 4.6% – Dark Brown Best bitter
■ Sterling Pale – 3.9% – Fairly hoppy pale ale, a great session beer
■ Dark Denomination – 4.0% – Chocolate and caramel malt flavours combined with blackcurrant hop flavours to produce this well rounded beer.
■ Franc “in” Stein – 4.3% – Sweet, golden ale, very quaffable
■ Dusty Penny – 5.0% – A full bodied porter
■ Golden Sovereign – 4.2% – Golden session ale, bitter with dry biscuit flavour,  citrus & grapefruit in the finish.

Paul and my favourites from Flipside are currently : Flipping Best and Clippings IPA.

Can we just say that it’s hard work testing all these ales. 😉
