New arrivals….

We’ve had a few so far this week with more to follow over the next day or so….abtly first its Salford brewers First Chop 😆, cask and bottles as below, will update site once dates become clear when the cask will be on show…..

Also Lymestone have re-stocked us with both bottles and cask, the Beast is back in stock too ;)…..

Many thanks to the Congleton Sustainability Group for supplying us with Congleton’s first…..very own cider, yes thats correct, Congleton apples kindly bottled by Dunham Press.

We’re in the midst of sorting out our Christmas cask list, Redwillow, Salopian, Heavy Industry, Cheshire Brewhouse, Lymestone, Storm along with debuts from Elland, Roosters and as mentioned above First Chop. …all these will be rolled out over the next month or so, stayed tuned….

Mad panic.. means new draughts

Just had a mad afternoon which has meant that we have had to put on more beer due to running out of draught ales. So now on draught are:
Lymestone Brewery “Stonewall Penalty”  4.6% Hoppy Pale Ale and Sandstone Brewery “Lazy Dragon” 3.5% Amber Bitter

Haven’t tried Lazy Dragon yet but can say that the Stonewall Penalty is very very nice. Perfect for the world cup.

Not just for balance…

We have a restock from the Red Rose county now….the magician’s from Marble have now delivered these rather nice examples. …

And they are so right……a Dobber is for life 😀

Wincle due any minute, we have the grand total of three bottles left. …….

The Beast from Lymestone back in stock now!!!! thats the wonderful

Abdominal Stoneman to me and you 😀

We are nearly ready for the Congleton Food Festival

It’s tomorrow, can’t believe how quickly the day has come around. Looking forward to seeing Congleton town spring into life, with 1000s of people attending the ever-expanding event. Jo Money and her team of volunteers have done a superb job in the Organisation and keeping everyone informed.
So have a look at the Website for all the stalls, demonstration times and entertainment available. The weather is looking OK too.
Don’t forget we will be having tasters on the stall throughout the day.
See you there 🙂

We are currently holding in the beer café seven of their ales.
¤ Stone the Crows 5.4% – Rich, dark beer
¤ Stone Brood 4.4% – Rich beer with Honey
¤ Ein Stein – 5.0% – Pale with German Hops, as close as you can get to a lager without being one, very quaffable
¤ Abdominal Stoneman 7.0% – American Pale Ale, not for the faint hearted & the our best seller of their ales. Nicknamed “The Beast”
¤ Stone Dead 6.66% -Stout with a bite, has been rated highly by our Stout drinkers
