Fantastic Day at Congleton Food & Drink Festival

Firstly let us apologise for not blogging over the last couple of days,  this has been a very busy weekend, what with the football and Fathers Day. However,  the biggest day of our year so far has been the Congleton Food & drink festival. A very big thanks to all the organisers (whom are volunteers), on yet another very successful event, we hope that you all have a very well deserved rest and a drink.

The beer café and stall proved to be very popular, with the bright pink T-shirts from Congleton’s own DP Sportswear standing out and hopefully Congleton are alot more aware of Barleyhops and our friends Phil & Lynsey from Ace of Cakes who provided the pies for the beer café and the Pie ‘n’ Pint.

Bollington,  Lymestone and Cheshire Brewhouse ales were sellouts on the stall, with the Food Festival ale “Tasty Town” from Cheshire Brewhouse & Bollington “Best” selling out on draught in the beer café.  The shelves in the café are looking a little depleted now but will be restocked over the next few days, some new ones planned as well.

We are closed tomorrow (Monday), we need a lie-in, but normal service will resume Tuesday and Paul is back in charge. !!!!

Thanks to all of our friends that have supported us through this busy time and before, we couldn’t have done it without you all.
Claire, Ray, Nick, Jane, Pete, Phil, Carole and Keith.

Here’s to our next 6 months. :). Cheers

We are nearly ready for the Congleton Food Festival

It’s tomorrow, can’t believe how quickly the day has come around. Looking forward to seeing Congleton town spring into life, with 1000s of people attending the ever-expanding event. Jo Money and her team of volunteers have done a superb job in the Organisation and keeping everyone informed.
So have a look at the Website for all the stalls, demonstration times and entertainment available. The weather is looking OK too.
Don’t forget we will be having tasters on the stall throughout the day.
See you there 🙂
